E. Thomas Corcoran joined Fort Dodge Animal Health in 1985 as Division President. He was promoted to Vice President of Wyeth in 1993 with responsibility for the animal health and specialty pharmaceutical businesses. In 1995, he relocated to Kansas City as President of the global animal health business. Mr. Corcoran has been a member of the Wyeth Operations Committee since 1994, and also serves on the Management and Human Resources and Benefits Committees.
Mr. Corcoran was previously employed by Diamond Shamrock Corporation from 1970 to 1985 in various sales, marketing and management positions.
Mr. Corcoran is a member of the Board of Directors for the Animal Health Institute, the trade association for the animal health industry, and recently served as the Board Chairman. He has been a member since 1999.
Mr. Corcoran graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. He also pursued graduate studies in the MBA Program at the University of South Florida and attended the Executive Management Program at Columbia University in New York City.
During Mr. Corcoran’s tenure with Fort Dodge Animal Health, he has guided the company through a number of business acquisitions that significantly impacted its growth and future. These acquisitions allowed Fort Dodge to transition from a domestic biologics company to a global leader in the animal health industry, as well as change the company’s sales approach to include distributor partners throughout the world. Acquisitions include Bristol-Myers, Syntex, Cyanamid, Solvay, A.H. Robins and Parke-Davis. |
