Kimberly Young most recently held the position as Vice President, Business Recruitment for the newly formed Missouri Partnership.  In this capacity, Kim was responsible for working closely with the Missouri Department of Economic Development and regional and local economic development organizations around the State of Missouri to attract new industry and jobs to the communities in Missouri.

Prior to joining the Missouri Partnership team, Kim worked for Greater Wichita Economic Development Coalition (GWEDC), a public-private regional economic development organization representing nine counties in South Central Kansas, where she led business recruitment efforts.  During her tenure with GWEDC, the organization exceeded its annual goal of 1,600 new jobs to the region.

Prior to working for GWEDC, Kim worked for the Kansas Department of Commerce as the Prospects Manager, where she was responsible for the management of the workforce training programs for the State of Kansas as well as working with the business recruitment and reverse investment staff on all business outreach and marketing activities with companies and local economic development organizations.  Kim was also responsible for structuring and negotiating incentive packages for business prospects.

Kim attended Pittsburg State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree, and was selected to the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, the prestigious university-wide academic honor society.  Kim graduated in December 2007 from the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute.
