Medical products company Abaxis Inc. is looking for space in the Kansas City area to house its first laboratory testing facility for veterinarians nationwide.

Michael Solomon, director of business development for Abaxis North American Animal Health, wouldn’t disclose the size of the lab yet because the firm is considering two different spaces. He said it would add about 150 local jobs during the next five years.
